Working with the idea of modular garments as an interface, my work involves what Jonathan Chapman describes as a “fuzzy interface” where the user experiences the object and develops a deeper emotional connection with it thus diminishing the disposable attitude towards clothing. Mapping technology and satellite photography serve as inspiration for the prints and continue the themes of exploration in the 21st century and the idea of changing perception through exposure. Garments are prepared piece-by-piece using a combination of digital prints, laminate finishing, and functional hardware. The user navigates and discovers different combinations of prints, shape, and fit within just one garment
