My project is inspired by the Hanky Communication between gays in the late twentieth century.

I seek out the old fashioned item’s potential as a contemporary communication device and how to make it an enjoyable collectable through the rediscovery of the forgotten value of the handkerchief and a revival of the traditional Asian beauty of ‘Pojagi’

This project is aiming to make new symbolic patterns as a ‘unique design language’ and designed to build new bridges of communication between individuals residing in a very diverse, cosmopolitan modern society. A small article of textile can break the ice and become an excuse for a conversation.
