My collection of fabrics is based on traditional textile techniques.  Hand knitted, crocheted, and smocked  fabrics are applied to a range of interior products including furniture, cushions and throws. My intention was to use organic natural fibres and traditional techniques to create a range of fabrics suitable for contemporary interiors. My research has been based on adapting the construction techniques of textiles, such as knit, to create fabrics that can be used successfully in interiors.

I have re-upholstered chairs with knitted fabric, one which was hand knitted with a traditional Aran stitch, another machine knitted and then embroidered and shaped with smocking. In addition to this I designed a collection of screen printed fabrics based on images of the knitted and crocheted pieces I had created. I also combined knit and print.  Parts of the chairs were upholstered with printed fabrics, which corresponded to the knitted fabrics used.

In addition to the chairs I designed and produced a collection of cushions that used the printed fabrics in combination with knitted pieces.
