As a designer of printed textiles I am fascinated by the journey a design takes from paper to print. In particular the outcomes that can be achieved when combining and manipulating various printing processes to produce exciting surface patterns, textures and visual imagery. I am predominately a textile printer; however I also enjoy the development of paper design work through both hand drawn and CAD techniques.

During my Masters in Textile Design my interests have progressed towards interactive textiles intended for the fashion and accessories markets. I have developed a range of summer coats which react to the wearer’s environment – predominately sunlight and rain.

My ambition for the future is to work as a freelance textile designer supplying fashion industries with contemporary surface design.
