Knititng has played a significant role in my life from childhood to the present. It is more than an interest, it is an obsession. There is no end to the unravelling and re-knitting to attain the required standard. A great deal of patience is needed – patience and application. There is also a desire to share knowledge and expertise with other knitters.

Currently my practive is based on the knitted underwear of the 1930s and 40s, making use of my substantial collection of original vintage knitting patterns and books, as the inspiration to produce exciting contemporary outer garments that would be expensive but cherished and carefully maintained over a long period. The capsules can be worn in several combinations therefor changing the look and thus prolonging the wearer’s enthusiasm.

I am able to design and adapt knitting patterns for hand and machine knitting and knit and crochet to a high level of expertise. My knowledge of knitting and knitwear, both vintage and contemporary, is extensive.
