Translating the notion of patchwork into sheet materials and ceramics, I have developed a range of products named Practically Patchwork™, the function of which echoes the utility of a patchwork quilt, meeting the needs of the 21st century consumer. The sheet materials of man-made boards, metal, mirror and ceramics are decorated with surface designs derived from domestic practices of craft.  These designs are applied to the materials using hand screen-printing, sandblasting and imprinting techniques.
